is this 1/24th scale built Baltimore Bandit Funny Car. The Polar Lights car was painted white, then decaled with a set of decals from Bad Habit Motor Sports. The car was then cleared with two part automotive clear. The chassis was built and painted red and clearcoated also. The engine in the real car is a different setup than usual so I grafted on a different manifold and used eight cut down velocity stacks. The oil filter is aluminum from SCW, and Detail Master fittings and braided lines make up the fuel delivery system. The cockpit has a Detail Master tachometer that is wired, also the seat has a set of Eduard photo etched seat belts. The rear slicks have been sanded down. The side windows and rear window are tinted red as the pictures of the real car reflect. A set of headers are installed from the parts box to give the appearance of the picture above. The car was given a final wax after completion and pictures taken.

NEW today is this 1:18 scale Vega Pro Stock. The car started out as the Ertl Weekend Warrior Vega. First of the stance was way off, so I lowered the rear end and then cut the spindles on the front to get the right look. The engine was pulled and replaced with a big block fuel injected blown motor from the Hurst Olds. A new transmission was grafted in. The blower hat was replaced with a resin one. The interior was pulled out and the one from the Warren Johnson car was put in place which comes with the full race rollbar. The rear hatch comes riveted in place so I cut it loose then cut down the rear stowage area to fit the tubs. A fuel cell was installed and plumbed with a fuel filter. A battery was also added with soldered connections. The racing seat got a SMBC Simpson race harness added. The rollbar was pulled and painted silver then installed. The rear tires were decaled with M&H Racemaster and installed. A drag chute was installed from the Warren Johnson car. Sponsor decals added on the rear quarter windows, and a final wax job after the car was complete

9-23-04 - New today is this 1:18 scale Nova Gasser. It started life as a Nova Pro Street. The front suspension was taken out and a straight axle front end was installed with leaf springs. This whole thing was drilled and safety wired into place using stainless steel wire and aircraft safety wire pliers for a rigid construction. The skinny wire wheels in front come from a bucket t diecast. The blown engine was installed and fuel lines ran. The interior had the stock seats removed and racing seats installed with cloth belts and metal buckles. The roll bar was pulled and painted silver then installed. The trunk area has a Moon fuel cell installed and a battery, both items are wired and plumbed. The hood scoop was removed and the hood trimmed to let the blower come up through the hood. The rear tires were decaled with Mickey Thompson M/T drag decals that were made on a Alps printer. The body was cleaned up and decaled with various sponsor decals, then micro-soled for adhesion then sealed with a coat of Novus 2. This is a very cool looking gasser and it is the only A body gasser I have seen in this scale.
